Autism Assessments for Adults and Children - Online or at our Bedford Clinic

Clarity, not guesswork. Support, not speculation.

We provide clear, professional autism assessments using trusted clinical tools, for children, young people and adults.

When the signs have you seeking answers and understanding.

Whether you're seeking answers for yourself, your child, or someone close to you, the signs may have been there for a while. Struggles with communication, feeling overwhelmed in busy places, rigid routines, or a deep sense of being “different.” These patterns can affect life at school, work, or home. The signs of autism can often present in less obvious ways or be occluded by masking or other conditions such as ADHD. All this can often result in mental health conditions such as anxiety and low mood being present, confusing the picture further.

At Neuro FX, we help people make sense of these experiences. We offer structured autism assessments for both adults and children, using gold-standard diagnostic tools, and only in conjunction with an ADHD and mental health assessment to build the complete picture. We offer assessments either online or at our clinic based in the centre of Bedford. Please note, the ADOS-2 assessment must be carried out in person at our clinic.

For many, a diagnosis is a turning point; a way to understand the past and make informed choices about the future.

Autism Assessments for Adults and Children

Our autism assessments for children and adults follow recognised clinical protocols and are aligned with NICE guidelines. Each assessment explores the developmental history, social communication, sensory experiences, behavioural patterns, and the wider impact of autism traits across home, school, work, and relationships. We aim to provide clear, respectful, and evidence-based outcomes that support understanding and next steps.

We assess both children (6+) and adults, and we also offer an autism top-up assessment for those initially referred for ADHD, where autistic traits are identified.
