Child ADHD Assessment and Diagnosis
Online or at our private clinic in Bedford
Are you worried your child might have ADHD?
You’re not alone and don’t have to figure it out yourself.
At Neuro FX, we offer clear answers and expert support for you and your child.
Could My Child Have ADHD?
ADHD in children can look very different from what’s often shown in the media. You might be noticing that your child struggles to focus, acts impulsively, or seems constantly on the go. Or perhaps you’ve heard concerns from their school about attention, behaviour, or emotional regulation.
Maybe you've always sensed something was different, or maybe the pieces are only now coming together. Either way, you’re here because you want to understand what’s going on, and what to do next.
At Neuro FX, we provide specialist ADHD assessments for children aged 6 and above. These are structured, clinically recognised evaluations designed to support parents, carers, and children with answers you can trust. The assessments can be undertaken either online or in person at our private clinic based in Bedford. In most cases if a positive diagnosis is made, we can begin treatment planning immediately.
Our under-18 ADHD Assessment Process
Our under-18 ADHD assessment provides a structured, evidence-based clinical evaluation following NICE guidelines (NG87). The process explores your child's current symptoms, medical history, and the impact of ADHD across different aspects of their life, including education, home, friendships and family relationships, and their emotional well-being.
What to Expect:
A 1:1 diagnostic interview with a qualified practitioner experienced in paediatric ADHD for parents and your child
Use of standardised, evidence-based tools appropriate for their age
Input from parents/carers and (where relevant) educational settings
Analysis of attention, impulse control, activity level, emotional regulation, and developmental history
Where ADHD is diagnosed, we provide a written diagnostic report with a clear explanation of findings, diagnosis (if confirmed), and recommended next steps.
Same-Day Treatment Option:
If ADHD is confirmed and treatment is clinically appropriate, a prescribing plan can often be initiated on the same day. This includes access to our 12-month medication and monitoring package (excludes the cost of medicines). All prescriptions are issued by a registered nurse prescriber and shared with your GP via a summary letter.
This assessment is available:
